DENDROBIUM 'Salaya Velvet Red'

Salaya red dendrobiums have smooth velvetty bright maroon flowers. They come in various combinations of yellow and brown. Salaya yellow-red and Salaya brown-yellow will be posted later in this section.

Use of Orchids

Orchids are mostly in demand in India as Ornamental plants. Cut flower industry is booming with huge consumption in major cities. The only other commercial use is that of vanilla, which is used in the 'flavour industry'.
